So which one you starting? 7-eleven? Old Chang Kee? Cheers?
I know that you have to pay them for uniforms, plastic bags supplies and stuff. I personally would prefer to start a business of my own or with a friend.

It is education franchise. You are right lots of things to pay for just wonder if anyone else is taking the Paid Mentor program Smile. I would love to start from scratch too but concern on the chance of success as oppose to a proven business model

Well, on this forum, username "Ali" is the franchise guy. You can try and speak to him.

Franchising is a good alternative to starting a biz from scratch, because you have the proven business model to be assured of. Just be careful, because a new franchise is still a "start-up". There might still be some risks involved.

Franchise business is good but start up capital may be high besides product choosen must saleable and the location of your stall is important.

Ya Kun coffee shop and some laska stall are franchise business and are doing well.

All the Best to your business.

agree. one of those things in life. got idea no $$ or worst no idea no $$. In this case, if got some idea so might as well pay for a mentor and get the job done. If the franchise are reasonably profitable that is ok. Not in for the big bucks. Learn from this than perhaps start from scratch the next round. So far got to say the Sing market is just not to friendly to franchisee. Most looking to franchise out of Singapore the reason they give mostly is Sing too small.

Start yr tution centre ( I am assuming )from home. Student pass rate, high score and good service will go a long way. When you u have more students then look into hiring good tutor to share the load.

Students' good results will automatically advertise for you.

Look at how Mindchamp does their promotion and others in education business.

I am trying to understand fully your business. Its some sort of tution centre which you have bought the franchise. Is that right?

This means that you need to rent a location to put your tution centre, correct? I think the hard part is getting the fees paid by your students to cover the costs such as the rent. But your franchisor should be able to help you with that, since he would share common goals with you.

You are absolutely right. Just that not signed on the dotted line. But starting to look at location and boy the rent does not seem to be coming down and thought there is suppose to be a recession!! Smile.

Haha, i guessed right.

Well, real estate prices lag roughly one year behind the stock market. So probably the rent prices will come down later on this year.

Think hard before you sign the dotted line my friend.
