Anyone have any thoughts on the national day rally speech by PM Lee?

I liked the parts on 'our economy' and 'our future'.

It seems like Singapore as a whole is going strong, although the dark clouds have not fully cleared. PM Lee said that two national day rally speeches ago, he already new that there might be troubling financial times ahead. I really wonder how he figured it out. Like what system did he use to deduce this.

Also, he showed how Singapore was like last time. I don't know how to sympathise with the old folks, but for young people, it is really difficult to imagine something, we only can see in pictures. All i can tell is that, we really came a long way.
